Indiano XVIII was born in 1985 in Spain. Bred by Nobleza del Guadiana, he is heavily "Bocado" of the Romero Benitez blood line.

He was presented as an adult in Spain at six important morphological (conformation) shows and at each of these he won first prize, gold medal, and champion of the breed. On two occasions he was supreme champion of functionality as well.

He also showed in Mexico, with equal success. He was shown in 1997 in the US only twice, at Best Movement, once in Ventura and once at the California Regional Show in Costa mesa, both of which he won

His breeder, D. Joaquin Conesa states that "this horse marked a glorious epoch" in the history of his farm. Those who know this horse all believe that the PRE horse in the US will have been improved in the long term and the short term by the blood of this "Lion of Spain".
